Landis Veterinary Home Care was originally created by Dr. Lori Landis as a result of her desire to care for companion animals and their people in the low stress comfort of their own homes. In recent years, Dr. Lori has seen an increase in the number of pets with chronic, incurable health problems such as degenerative joint disease, kidney failure, progressive neurologic diseases and cancer. In order to respond to the special needs of these patients, she created a hospice and palliative care program with individual care plans tailored to meet the specific needs of each patient and their family.

While Dr. Lori still accepts routine veterinary appointments on a limited basis, her practice now focuses primarily on palliative and hospice care for pets and in home euthanasia services. Her goal remains to improve the health and well-being of her patients throughout all stages of their life.

Dr Lori has received her Certified Hospice and Palliative care Veterinarian (CHPV) from the International Association of Animal Hospice and Palliative Care.

"I wanted to thank you for your compassion, kindness, and wonderful care that you gave to Buster and I in his final weeks of life. When I am through grieving this loss your kindness will be a wonderful memory as well as the 10 good years I had with this beautiful creature. "
